Shawn Southard

Shawn Southard has more than 25 years of corporate and consulting experience in investor relations, finance and communications. He is an accomplished investor relations leader, adept at developing strategies, implementing plans and executing best practices.

Prior to joining Kei Advisors, Shawn built 19 Squared IR to provide investor relations advisory, analytic, and communications services, primarily to small-cap companies. Before 19 Squared IR, he spent nearly six years as Director of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications with Pennsylvania REIT, focused on consistently communicating the company’s strategic plans to analysts, investors and shareholders. Before Pennsylvania REIT, Shawn was Head of Investor Relations for EPIQ Systems and, before that, U.S. Interactive. Prior to U.S. Interactive, Shawn served as Managing Director for Financial Communications Associates. Shawn began his investor relations career at Advanta Corporation, where he held several positions of increasing responsibility up to Investor Relations Manager.

Shawn received his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Delaware and his M.B.A. in Finance from Drexel University. Currently, he serves as Chair of the Investor Relations Charter (IRC) Examination Development Committee for the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI). He is also a past President of the Philadelphia Chapter of NIRI. Shawn passed the inaugural NIRI Investor Relations Charter exam in March 2016, earning the right to use the Investor Relations Charter (IRC™) credential.
